Shodhana is a macOS utility that identifies and removes reclaimable disk space at your direction. It is sold as a one-time purchase with a 14-day free trial.
A license permits one person to use Shodhana on up to two Macs they own or control, unless your key states a different number. You may not redistribute, resell, or share license keys. The trial may be used once per person.
Activating registers that Mac against your key. This is the only time Shodhana contacts our servers: it sends your license key and an anonymous fingerprint derived from your Mac's hardware identifier — never the identifier itself, and never anything about your files. After activation the license is verified on your Mac alone and works fully offline, permanently.
You can free a Mac's slot yourself at any time using Deactivate This Mac in Settings, so the key can be used elsewhere. Reasonable limits apply to how often a license may be moved — see the FAQ for the current figure — and exist to stop one key being passed between people.
Reinstalling macOS or restoring the same Mac does not count and does not consume a slot. Replacing a logic board or other major hardware may make that Mac look like a different machine and require reactivating. If a Mac is lost, sold, or unusable, email [email protected] and we will clear it for you.
We may disable a license key that is shared, resold, obtained fraudulently, or refunded. Disabling prevents future activations; because Shodhana verifies offline after activation, it does not disable a copy already running on a registered Mac.
Purchases are processed by Dodo Payments, acting as merchant of record — they are the seller of record for your transaction and handle payment, applicable taxes, and invoicing. Refunds are governed by our refund policy.
Shodhana shows you what it will remove and requires your confirmation before removing it. Deletions go to the macOS Trash, from which they can be restored until the Trash is emptied. You are responsible for reviewing what you approve for deletion and for maintaining backups of your data (as you should with any software that modifies files).
Settings contains an option to delete permanently instead of using the Trash. With it enabled, removed items cannot be recovered by any means. It is off by default, and the app warns you while it is on.
Shodhana is provided "as is", without warranty of any kind. To the maximum extent permitted by law, the developer is not liable for any loss or damage arising from use of the software, including data loss. Our total liability is limited to the amount you paid for your license.
Licenses include app updates and email support at [email protected]. We may discontinue the product with reasonable notice; licenses remain valid for installed versions.
These terms are governed by the laws of India. Disputes arising from your purchase itself are additionally subject to Dodo Payments' terms of sale.
